The Little Boy and the New Car

A few years ago, a man bought a nice, little silver Subaru car for his wife. They bought it on a Friday evening and brought it home and parked it inside the garage. They were so happy and proud of their new car! 

The next morning, the man and his wife woke up and they were still so happy about their shiny NEW CAR! They decided to work outdoors since it was such a beautiful Saturday morning and they did not have to go in to their regular jobs that day. 

The couple had three children, Marie, Jon and little, baby Craig (2 years old). The daddy and mommy decided to take little, baby Craig outside with them to enjoy the beautiful weather. Momma began working in the flower beds and daddy got up on a step ladder to nail up the rain gutters above the garage. He used his hammer to pound in the nails (BANG, BANG, BANG - BANG, BANG, BANG). He had been working for several minutes and banging away when he began to notice another sound…. It sounded like (ding, ding, ding). The daddy would take his hammer and BANG, BANG, BANG, then he would listen and hear ding, ding, ding - the he would pound away again BANG, BANG, BANG and he would hear ding, ding, ding - then he would BANG, BANG, BANG and he would hear ding, ding, ding. 

The daddy was very curious about where this noise was coming from!?!?!? So he came down, down, down the ladder…. There in the garage, he saw little Craig holding a little hammer. Craig looked up to see his Daddy and he smiled at his daddy. Craig was standing next to the right rear door of the new car. Craig then took his little hammer and bagan BANGING ON THE NEW CAR!!! His daddy’s hair stood straight up as he heard the noise ding, ding, ding, ding --- little Craig had been banging on the brand new car!!!! OH NO!!! his daddy cried and then he snatched the hammer away from little Craig. Momma came running to see what all the commotion was about. 

Both momma and daddy looked at the damage to the new little car. There were several dozen ‘dings’ in the car door where little Craig had banged on the door. He was trying to be ‘big’ like daddy and he had heard daddy making banging noises - so he thought that it would be fun to make banging noises too. So that is how the little Subaru (not even one day old yet) was dinged up by a little boy.

Do you know who that little boy was????? His middle name is Craig but his first name is Philip. ;0)
